In Australia, a cyclone throws boats

A cyclone is raging along Australia's northeast coast and has already been named «Yasi», a fifth category. Wind speeds reach 80 metres per second, and the scale of the damage is already quite large.

Coastal structures and yacht clubs were the hardest hit. According to witnesses, the storm took many boats to land and scattered them all over the shore «like rubber ducklings in a bathtub».

Although the main blow from the cyclone has already passed, storm warnings remain valid along the coast.
