The editors of itBoat have made a selection of the main September boat and boat shows which are worth visiting for boat lovers, big and small.

HISWA In Water Boat Show

About the exhibition: Opens the autumn season exhibition in Amsterdam. This is the place to go for the classic reliable trawler-type pleasure boats for which the Netherlands is famous. The backbone of the exhibition are the well-known brands Van der Valk, Linssen, Aquanaut, Selene and Jetten Yachts. Sailing brands are also present. «The Mediterranean format» is not available, but there is a good set of boats with a central, protected cockpit (Contest Yachts, Hallberg-Rassy, etc.). The exhibition has literally grown on the ruins of the NDSM shipyard, the old territory of which was ennobled by the Dutch and four years ago was assigned to HISWA In Water, which makes everyone happy.

When: September 1st to 6th.

St Petersburg International Boat Show

About the exhibition: A small but cozy show of yachts and boats will take place at the beginning of September literally under the side, in Saint-Petersburg, in the yacht-club «Morskaya». The exhibition is young and takes place just for the second time, but nevertheless it offers a decent selection of motor brands. It is worth to go here for good Finnish and Scandinavian SUVs Targa, Nord Star, Sargo and others. There will also be «warmer» cruise options, such as Azimut and «Galleons». The show is on the water and many boats and yachts are available for test drive.

In modern economic realities, the exhibition in St. Petersburg is undoubtedly the most profitable event to visit.

Even if we do not take into account the obvious savings on airline tickets and accommodation, it is worth considering that it will be easier to negotiate discounts with Russian dealers and find a favorable offer.

Perhaps, the biggest disadvantage of the exhibition is the lack of sailing brands.

When: September 3-5

Cannes Yachting Festival

About the exhibition: The main European yachting exhibition on water invariably attracts many Russian visitors. On the stands of large shipyards there are always representatives from Russia, so you can try out all the details in your native language. The set of boats and brands is very diverse, but with a slope to the Mediterranean type.

We will especially note 140 premiere models, including 85 world debut.

In the evenings, the show offers an active social programme - admire the Concours D'Elegance boat parade or go for a nightly paddleboard race along the Croisette.

At the closing hour of the exhibition, the fleet heartily says goodbye to Cannes with deafening beeps.

When: September 8-13

Monaco Yacht Show

About the exhibition: For 4 days the whole life in the Principality revolves around the yacht show, and the streets will be full of workers of yachting and yachting industry. You can easily recognize them by their professional tanning, snow-white smile and badges they forget to take off. The exhibition itself is located in the port «of Hercule», where yachts from 30 m and above are presented. The Monaco Yacht Show is a celebration of megayachts, only in large caliber. There are also «accessories such» as tenders and water toys, as well as furniture, fittings and fabrics.

The fleet of 2015 includes 121 superyachts and 500 companies. Among them is Heesen, which exhibits Ann G, Tankoa Yachts presents Suerte and Benetti shows two world premieres and one European.

From one part of the exhibition to the other you can always get to the other in round-trip tenders.
