Company history

The history of Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven goes back to the era of transatlantic passenger steamers. It is one of the most respected German shipbuilders. The company started its work in 1857. At that time, manufacturers competed to build a faster and more luxurious cruise liner, and the company regularly won the Blue Riband award, which was awarded to a passenger liner crossing the Atlantic Ocean on a regular flight at record speed.

The shipyard has always been engaged in unique projects, and with the growing demand for private superyachts, it has expanded its range.

Production

The company has its own factory in Ibersehafen, which has been located here since 1871. The total area of the facility is 260,000 sq.m. The capacity of the shipyard allows the construction of vessels up to 300 meters. In addition there is a 23,000 sqm warehouse complex for the storage of spare parts and goods from contractors. Lloyd Werft also has its own design and engineering departments.

Fleet .

The shipyard builds custom superyachts from 100m in steel for transatlantic crossings. The 115-metre Luna, launched in 2010, is considered the largest boat with diesel-electric engines and Solaris is the largest project for the yard in the private sector.
