The Comet 100RS is the first maxi class boat built at the Comar shipyard in Fiumicino, Italy. The two previous Comet models, the 52RS and the 62RS, were chosen for her hydrodynamics prototype to produce a fast, low displacement long-haul cruiser. All you have to do is look at the deck lines and hull lines to get a clear idea of the class of this yacht.
However, despite its low weight, the boat offers the highest possible level of comfort typical of 100-foot boats, so that at any regatta her crew will feel in the usual conditions, not going down to the Spartan life aboard the racing "soapbox".
The hull of the boat is made with the use of high-strength epoxy resins with baking temperature over 80 ° C - an unusual case in the construction of pleasure boats, not extreme racing yachts.
