The Oyster 725 is a unique boat in the Oyster range. Like her predecessor, the famous 72, she is a testing ground for new ideas, materials and technology, and the possibilities for customizing her to meet customer needs are endless. One of the 72 boats, for example, was designed for sailing in the ice regions of the Arctic - for this purpose a 10mm steel plate was sewn into the bow of the yacht along the KVL. The other, in contrast, was manufactured in an ultra lightweight version and has been successfully used for racing, and the firm promises that similar opportunities exist for the new 725th boat.
