Model J/108 is a kind of rethinking of models. J/95 and, to a greater extent, J/109very fortunate, but already gradually coming off the stage. The new boat inherited from the 109th navigable hull, and from the later 95th the rudder and keel profiles, some aspects of the layout and design.
The basic idea of the 108th is a high-speed cruiser for shallow water areas. Due to her lifting keel (optionally the boat can also have a fixed ballast keel), the yacht can have a relatively low draft (120 cm), which allows its owner to cruise through difficult waters and approach shallow shores. It is very important to note that the J/108 retains its ability to walk quite steeply in the wind even with the keel raised.
