Estero became a new generation model - some owners complained about the laborious management and maintenance of their yachts and also wanted a more modern and faster boat. In addition, the company needed a boat with a somewhat simplified concept, aimed at younger people. The combination of all this was the newest model Estero. The main difference is the sailing arms, instead of a tender the boat is now armed with a sloop that is easier to handle. The exterior teak finish (on deck) has been reduced and care for the yacht has become easier and easier.
Otherwise Estero has kept the IPY tradition of being a reliable ocean-going yacht with a long keel, a solid hull and a spacious interior.
