The Swan 75 is a powerful cruising yacht capable of sailing in any of the most challenging waters, from the Drake Strait to Spitsbergen. Despite the impressive size of the boat, it is designed to be operated by a small number of people - a signature strategy of Hermann Frerr Sr. In his opinion, any yacht up to 90 feet long should be able to be operated by a couple - without the services of a staff captain, bosunman or sailor. This is why the Swan 75 is equipped with many devices to make life easier for yachtsmen - for example, the mainsail is hydraulically curled into a Park Avenue-type gyke.
The yacht (like almost all larger Swan models) is available in two upper deck versions: smooth deck (FD - flush deck) and streamlined deckhouse (S - saloon). The FD version can have three or four guest cabins (besides the owner's cabin), the S version has only three.
