The Oyster 54 is a further development of the very popular Oyster 53, differing from it by its larger sailing area, longer KVL and hull structure. Unlike many other Oyster models, the 54 has a lightweight sandwich hull, rather than a monolithic hull, which helped to reduce the boat's displacement slightly. The result is a fast enough ocean boat with a level of comfort typical of Oyster. The new style of the upper deck and deckhouse (G5 - Generation 5), characterized by soft rounded lines, gives the yacht a very elegant and memorable look.
