The Hanse 445 is a kind of "bridge" between relatively small models up to 40 feet long and large yachts up to 50 feet long and above. As a result, the boat has taken the best of both small and large shipyard models.
The Hanse 445 has good running characteristics, a rather light steering wheel and spacious interiors. The steepness to the wind is one of the highest in the family, and according to some tests the boat is able to go out in the wind with a steepness less than 30°. Naturally, even here everything is designed to be controlled by one person.
