The Dufour 45E is a "dual-purpose" yacht: it is a perfectly built and well built racer/cruiser or, in our opinion, a cruising and racing yacht. With the spacious interior volumes typical of Dufour, this boat has very high performance. With a wind speed of about 9.5 knots, the boat can easily reach speeds of about 7 knots. Experienced yachtsmen emphasize the extremely high quality of steering.
The layout of the cockpit allows the helmsman to steer the yacht without any assistance.
