HR has eaten a dog on the design of a 30-foot HR, which is called a dog - she has produced more than 2000 yachts of this length, and the previous model - HR 31 Mk II has lasted in the series as long as 18 years: an infrequent case in yacht-building. In spite of its modest size, the HR 310 is much better equipped and finished than its serial brethren - for example, it is equipped with a sub-deck twist of a jib: it is still a rarity on 30-footers. Also included as standard is a hydraulic tensioner for the Akhterstag, which is also rare.
The design of the yacht itself is interesting: the hull section is glued to the deck section when it is assembled before all furniture is mounted inside. This makes the interior very difficult to build, but gives the hull more rigidity and vitality, which is a priority for HR.
