The hull of Chaparal 284 Sunesta is reinforced with Kevlar, and its modified shape of "deep V" type made it possible to achieve controllability and running characteristics of the sportboat with a wider and more spacious bow like a deck boat.
The boat reaches the glider in 4.6 seconds and accelerates to 30 mph in 10 seconds. At a top speed of 49 miles per hour, the boat will burn up to 114 litres of fuel per hour.
At the control post there is an ergonomic chair-transformer that allows you to control the boat in the standing position. Exactly the same chair is available on the left side next to the helm. The sunbathing area at the bow and the aft seat can be folded out into the sun lounger. The swimming platform is extended forward behind the tilt and turntable column, which ensures safe swimming. The cockpit has a wind bar with grill and sink.
