Just over a month is left before «the revolutionary regatta»solar boats. As of today 29 crews from 11 countries including Russia are expected to participate. The event will be held on July 10-12 and will be hosted by the famous Yacht Club of Monaco.
The regatta promises to be not only eco-friendly but also spectacular. Its mission is to popularize solar energy in everyday life.
«Industry of solar energy is growing at such a fast pace that there is a gap in the market - there is no equal event to unite and present interested players», - says Sergey Dobroserdov, the ideological mastermind of the project.
The races will take place in three classes: A Class, Open Class and V20. The Russian Team Beluga has been announced in the latter.
Solar1 Monte Carlo Cup is the first event of such scale. The organizers do not think to stop here. Dubai, Canada, Asia and the USA are already in the plans. In the meantime, let's follow the events in Monaco.
