Olympic champion Sir Ben Ainslie puzzled journalists last Tuesday. The yachtsman hinted that he might not take part in »the 35th America's Cup « in 2017.

Specifically, the athlete said the following: «We have a lot of guys on the team, some of them have experience in previous America's Cups, some are racing in other classes but are also talented.

If the competition was scheduled for tomorrow, I would already be on the boat, but in a couple of years my decision could be different.

<...> I realize that there are now many sailors who spend much more time on the water than I do. I am sitting in the office more and more: I have to get the team ready, find funding, work with designers».

Perhaps by saying that, the yachtsman meant that he will stay in the team only as a functionary? We hope it will be different.

As a reminder, there will be six teams(Artemis Racing, Ben Ainslie Racing, Emirates Team New Zealand, Luna Rossa Challenge and Team France.). The skippers of all the crews have already been announced. In addition to Ben Ainslie, they are Jimmy Spithill, Dean Barker, Max Serena, Frank Camma, Ian Percy.
