Builder sought for world's largest yacht

European shipyards are discussing the possibility of building the world's largest yacht. According to western media reports, 4Yacht Inc. is in talks to start work on the Triple Deuce project with several manufacturers at once. The broker plans to begin construction of the vessel in 6-12 months and complete it by 2018.

Triple Deuce is a mega-yacht with a length of 222 meters (728 feet) and a beam of 24.9 meters (82 feet). Such dimensions will allow the novelty to surpass the largest private boat by 42 meters and match the size of a cruise liner.

The yacht will be equipped with three gas turbines generating about 100 thousand hp and enabling the boat to reach a speed of 30 knots.

The seven-deck giant can accommodate 36 guests and 90-100 crew members. The guests will be accommodated in VIP staterooms (90 square meters each) or conventional cabins (60 square meters each). The owner's stateroom is a bit more modest 275 square metres.

«Of course the luxury yacht will have several swimming pools, garages for» water toys, hairdressing and massage rooms, helicopter deck and elevator.

4Yacht Inc. has not disclosed the name of the owner or the names of the shipyards competing for the project.
