Moscow-based PROyachting has announced the expansion and opening of a branch in the city of Sochi.
The fleet of ten GP 26s will be deployed in the Imereti Seaport, the host city of the 2014 Winter Olympics, to host yacht events for Russian and international companies and to provide training for the WFPS and IYT yachting systems.
In addition, weekly regattas are planned in the region. The debut regatta of the Sochi Friday Race will take place on May 1.
This will be a regatta in a format of weekly evening regattas which has already become popular in the capital. One day later there will be another race which promises to become a regular event: Sochi May Holiday by PROyachting.
The founder and ideological inspirer of PROyachting is world and European sailing champion Ekaterina Skudina.
