Pskov Lake will host the World Championship for yachts «Micro»

The 40th World Sailing Championship in the «Micro class» will be held on the Pskov Lake within the framework of the 13th Pskov Sailing Regatta from 13 to 19 June.

More than 150 sportsmen from different countries will participate in the Championship.

Russian yachtsmen will be presented in the races by crews from Moscow, St.Petersburg, Lipetsk, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad and many other cities.

Apart from World Championship, within the framework of the 13th Pskov regatta on June 11-13 there will be races in child- and youth and Paralympic yacht classes.

Master classes, presentations, exhibition races and ecological actions will be held on the shores of Lake Pskov and Chudskoe.

Yachtsmen of the interregional association of «Micro class» took part in the Pskov regatta for the first time in 2005. Since 2007 races of Micro class «» within the framework of Pskov regatta obtained status of European Cup stage. Since then representatives of Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia became regular participants of regattas on Pskov lake.
