40m Divine, the second superyacht on the 40 M Sport Hybrid platform from Columbus Yachts, a Palumbo Group brand, will be unveiled at the 2016 Monaco Yacht Show from 28 September to 1 October at the American Quay (Quai des Etats-Unis).

The yacht can reach speeds of up to 20 knots while cruising in economy mode at 16 knots. The yacht can accommodate up to 10 guests in five cabins, including an owner's suite with a study on the main deck. The crew consists of eight people.

The naval architecture and exterior design is by Hydrotec studio together with the shipyard, the interior is by Hot Lab.

The aggressive and modern look of the yacht is inspired by sports cars but she has a large interior volume and high ceilings which are unusual for this segment.

The interior of the main saloon has been designed with huge windows and doors, which can be opened and balconies tilted out onto the sides to form a huge terrace with unobstructed views.

Inside, the emphasis is on making the master suite as spacious and comfortable as possible, in keeping with the larger yachts. To make the layout more flexible they have managed to transform one of the VIP suites into two standard ones.

The interior is fresh, elegant and minimalist. The priority is given to natural colors and light. Several types of marble, eucalyptus and American walnut are used in the decor. The use of bright leather and metal details, wool carpets and luxurious textiles adds warmth to the interior. All wood is FSC certified, and the leather is treated with special non-toxic paint.

Divine has a semi-displacement hull that has been designed with the latest technology and tests to provide the best in speed, maneuverability and other performance.

Thanks to her lightweight construction and hybrid engines, the yacht consumes 215 litres of fuel per hour at a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Her propulsion system is designed by Palumbo engineers. With two electric engines the yacht can reach 8 knots. The energy is stored during the motion from the diesel engines. For the boat Team Italia has developed an integrated I-Bridge deckhouse which can be customised exclusively for the captain.

Like the first hull of the Sport Hybrid superyacht Eleonora III series, Divine is RINA classified with additional ratings «Hybrid Propulsion (Y)» and AUT CCS (Y).
