Spanish shipyard Astondoa Yachts has launched the fourth hull of the 80 GLX series. The 24.92-meter yacht was delivered to Miami, where she will be handed over to her owner.

Astondoa 80 was designed as a recreational, entertainment and social yacht. She would be ideal for a summer family cruising.

The aggressive, sleek exterior styling of the Astondoa 80 GLX was developed by the Spanish design team in keeping with the rest of the GLX series. The designers have harmoniously blended the large black superstructure windows with the sleek lines of the snow-white flybridge to give the yacht an almost yin-yang look.

Beneath the sliding roof of the flybridge is a relaxing area with a wind bar and several tables. An open space aft is perfect for boisterous parties and for more intimate gatherings a forward sofa table is shielded from the sun by a retractable awning. There is also an al-fresco dining table on the aft main deck, connected to the salon by three doors that can be fully opened, combining open and closed seating areas.

Astondoa offers a wide range of possibilities for customization, so you can customize your boat to your tastes. For example, the galley can be set back in front of the cockpit doors and opened up completely. This might be appreciated by American clients, whereas the standard European arrangement has the galley split from the salon and placed between the salon and the control station at the forward end of the boat.

Naturally, the interior of the 80 GLX can also be customized. For the interior spaces of the fourth hull, the designers used photos of the American client's home to replicate the same warm, minimalist atmosphere on his yacht.

The result is an interior that is full of light, with whitewashed and light oak bulkheads complemented by Spanish leather sofas and stainless steel accents.

The lower deck of the 80 GLX is dedicated to guests and crew accommodation. Aft is the captain's stateroom, followed by a full-beam master suite with dressing room, lounge and a large bathroom with a glass shower. Next are two staterooms, each with a pair of twin beds. In the bow is a VIP suite with a double bed and large windows.

The two standard MAN 12V 1550 hp engines enable the Astondoa 80 to reach a top speed of 33 knots with a cruising speed of 28 knots. Astondoa 80 GLX has a spacious engine compartment with easy access to the engines and all key systems of the yacht.
