Pi Superyachts has revealed the concept of a 25-metre trimaran available in both sail and power versions. The unusual multihull concept, dubbed Dragonship 25, is an evolution of the idea of an 80-metre concept developed by the yard in 2014.

The all-aluminium Dragonship 25 will be built to RINA standards. The 15.5m hull width will provide 540 square metres of interior space. Up to 16 guests and 8 crew members will be accommodated on board. Open air lounging areas are situated forward with two large settees and on the flybridge there is a spa pool, sheltered from the weather by a hardtop. At the heart of the main deck layout is an impressive size reception area adjacent to the bar, dining area and gymnasium. Deck space for a 7 metre tender and two jet skis is also available.

The power version of Dragonship 25 will be equipped with two 600 hp Cummins engines and two 35 kWh diesel generators. The fuel tanks capacity of 4,000 litres will allow the boat to sail transatlantic, guaranteeing a maximum range of 3,000 miles.

The eco-friendly Eco-Lux version features a fixed wing sail similar to those used on America's Cup catamarans «» .

The carbon mast rotates 360 degrees, eliminating the need for running rigging. This sail control system was developed by Jack Manners-Spencer and is named Autosail.

The sail is augmented by two electric motors, which act as generators while the sail is in use, and two or four 25 kWh diesel generators.

In this version, the trimaran is virtually pollution-free and can theoretically sail 20,000 miles on a single tank.

The yard has also developed a third version of Dragonship 25 with traditional single-mast rigging. The classic sailing version of Dragonship 25 is equipped with two 200 hp diesel engines and two 35 kWh diesel generators.

Prices for Dragonship 25 will start from EUR 5,5 mln.
