The legendary yacht club recognized Valentin Zavadnikov, helmsman and co-owner «Synergy», the best yachtsman of 2013.
Since 2004, the prize has been awarded to great names in sailing, such as Guido Miani (twice), Igor Simcic, Daniel Myers, Peter de Ridder, Leonardo Ferragamo, Nico Pons, Gianluca Perris and Klaus-Peter Offen.
For «Synergy» managed by Zavadnikov and Leonid Lebedev, the year was successful. The team was vice-champion of the RC44 Championship Tour series in match-race and fleet racing, won the RC44 Cascais Cup and the first round of the European Audi Sailing Series in the Melges32 class.
«Synergy» also won the «Yachtsman of the Yea»r award , winning the prize as best sailing team.
In addition, «Synergy» has co-hosted the new Melges20 Winter Series regatta in Monaco. Just today the second stage of the races started - Beluga Cup.
