Acceptance of payment for the new Greek tax has been postponed by two months, the Cruising Association reports. Earlier it was reported that the new law would come into force on January 1, 2014. The delay is due to the unpreparedness of collectors and the payment system to collect money from boaters. The Greek government is still debating what it will all look like. The Greeks will announce a new deadline additionally.

As a reminder, according to the approved law, the tax will affect all yachts that will enter the country's waters. The owners of transit and «immobilized» yachts would not have to pay, but if the latter would have «engines turned on or sails raised», then their owners would have to pay the tax.
