The Moth (Moth) class national competition was held last weekend in Kaneohe, Hawaii.
The International Moth Classis a kind of answer to Formula 1 car sailing. Known for their superior handling and speed, Moths are the only kind of single-sailer that can fly up to several metresabove the surface of the waterat one metre altitude. Moths are capable of speeds in excess of 32 knots and, thanks to their special design, weigh only about 30kg.
