« She is 50% airplane, 50% boat," Paul Larsen proudly explains the nature of his brainchild, SailRocket. - If she suddenly loses her keel at speed, what's not an airplane? » .

Larsen and his team are working on a boat that can break the world speed record. The first version of the SailRocket at one not-so-great moment for Paul thought it was more airborne - a gust of wind pushing the boat from below launched it high into the sky. It could have ended in tragedy, but there were no casualties. The design had to be revised towards stability, but the SailRocket did not lose any speed. The main goal of SailRocket 2 is to break the 50 knots barrier. Paul's ambitious plans are scary to say the least: he believes that thanks to the new shape of the keel, it will be possible to reach 100 knots. But that's in the distant future.
