This year's Fastnet Race is breaking records for the number of participants: 380 yachts from 5 continents and more than 22 countries will take part in the race. In August, they will cover 608 nautical miles and round the Fastnet Cliff.
Despite its popularity, the race is by no means easy. And from time to time, it not only breaks records with the number of participants but also with accidents. In 2011, the 100-foot maxi yacht Rambler lost her keel and capsized.- All crew members were rescued.
