Almost a year has passed since billionaire Jim Clark commissioned Hodgdon Yachts shipyard to build a new racing sailboat. And now the construction of the 100ft Comanche is nearing completion. The boat, not yet fitted with a keel and mast, was successfully towed from Hodgdon Boat Yardin Main e to Newport , Rhode Island. The process took twenty-four hours. Comanche is now in the water at the Newport boatyard docks. The boat has already received its keel and is almost ready for commissioning. The designers have done their best to ensure that Comanche can race in the upcoming Rolex SydneyHobart race.
