Boating mayhem - a race to Alaska without rules

But on one condition... no motors.

1207 kilometres from Port Townsend to Alaska bypaddleboat, kayak, beach catamaran, windsurfboard... The Race to Alyaska has only one limitation: no motors. Just the power of the wind and your own muscles. Participants in this extraordinary race, which started on June 4, have no idea when it will end (or if it will ever end). Some have only taken three days' supply of fresh water with them, relying on the condensation that forms on the sail. The prize is $10,000 for first place and a set of steak knives to those who came in second.
