Lloyd Thornberg's trimaran Phaedo 3 rounded the Isle of Wight in 2 hours 23 minutes 23 seconds, almost half an hour ahead of Ben Ainslie's AC45 and becoming the new record holder on this route among multihulls. AC45 circumnavigated the Isle of Wight in 2 hours 52 minutes and 15 seconds in 2013, breaking a record held for 12 years.
