"Build me a beast. Don't build a wolf in sheep's clothing. It must be a sharply honed, innovative weapon, fast and furious," was the brief Royal Huisman received from the client of this 58-metre ocean cruiser. No wonder the project was named The Beast, "the beast" during construction. The Beast finally saw her world premiere this week as she was hoisted out of Royal Huisman's hangar in Wallenhoveand transferred to Holland Jachtbouw in Zandam where shewill be fitted with a71m Rondal carbonfibre mast before being handed over. Ngoni, her christening name, is one of the latest Dubois Naval Architects projects. She has a master suite with office, 2 guest cabins, fitness room, steam room, pool, tender garage and a crane. The lifting keel reduces the draft from 8.1 metres to 5.3 metres and the aluminium hull is designed with a maximum speed of 17.5 knots in mind.
