In terms of approach and production volumes, Amer's Italian shipyard can be compared to a private atelier, where the customer is the king, and where two things are not the same, because each one is made to the customer's standards. In 1973, Fernando Amerio founded the company and gave it his name. A decade later, Amer launched up to five ships a year. It all started with 20 meters, then went on to 22 and 24.
Today, the yard offers a range of three models from 86 to 116 feet. The bulk architecture is handled by the Verme Projects studio (Lavagna, Italy), which has also creatively approached the design of the latest, largest yacht. Amer 116 - This is not a yacht like RPH (Raised Pilothouse, raised bridge) or a classic flybridge. She belongs to a rare category where the fly is divided into two zones, similar to the Sanlorenzo Alloy 40.
First, it was an enclosed space with a saloon and main wheelhouse. Behind it there is a second area designed for outdoor enthusiasts, with a table and sunbeds. As Amer 116 is designed exclusively for private use, the owner has ordered only three but large cabins. This layout is unique for a 35-metre vessel, but this is the solution that demonstrates a true understanding of luxury.
For the convenience of travelers, any of the three decks can be accessed by elevator. Admittedly, we have never seen such devices on a 35 meter yacht, except for special lifts for people with disabilities. In terms of design, this elevator is undoubtedly the most spectacular lift we have ever seen.
The shipyard has invited Stefano Tini, a new name in yacht design, to decorate the interior. The artist plays with volumes, brightness of light, symmetry - at a glance you appreciate the thoughtful proportions. The color scheme is minimalistic. The ceiling, sofas and bookcases use white, bulkheads and some other furniture are red-brown and the floor is made of light oak. Both the finishings are impeccable, and even the kitchen, located between the main salon and master suite, looks far above average. It is completely covered in white enamel, with a work area and a table with corian worktop in the middle.
The master suite is pleasant to the touch: the furniture here is inhabited by neatly stitched leather of the finest dressing. It is lighter than other cabins, in the ceiling there are automatically sliding curtains that open the skylight. A liquid crystal screen hides in the central bulkhead mirror and steps on both sides lead to a fully marble and travertine bathroom, very much like a luxury spa. Between the other two huge cabins is the lobby, which can be used as an office or library if desired. The lighting here highlights the beauty of the transparent spiral staircase wrapped around the elevator.
If the undersea part of the ship without a robbery, it has excellent balance and slides steadily horizontally, at a cruising speed of 20 knots, consumes 415 liters. However, the yacht is also capable of more - a maximum of 27 knots in 2,300 rpm mode. And here it is time to note the excellent soundproofing of the engine room, coming out of which through the middle of the starboard side, you get to the high bulwark fenced nose of the yacht. Using the locker room as a step, you can reach the huge solarium located directly above the master suite bathroom. Stretch out into the sun and accept that Amer knows how to fulfill the customer's wishes.
