For London boat owners, the tides of the Thames have always been a big challenge. Really enjoying the views of the city from the water is hampered by dependence on the water level in the river - yachtsmen have to link their plans to the tide periods, when the water in the river is high. Now, at least for some owners, this problem has been solved with the opening of the first marina with permanent access to the berths.
The place called Imperial Wharf Marina is located on the banks of the Thames, in a prestigious location between Chelsea and Fulham. It offers more than 600 sqm of water area for yachtsmen to moor and a separate pier for boarding and disembarking passengers. The total area of the complex is over 4 hectares of very expensive land.
