Dutch boat VanDutch 40 is conquering the Mediterranean. It graciously winds through the southern waters at a speed of 38 knots, feeling calm and confident.

Brenda Vanguard Dutch Marine Only two years, but the bar has been high here since the beginning: the role of a Naval Architect and Interior Designer has been entrusted to Frank Mulder, author of magnificent high-speed megayachts with the "Bond" names Moonraker and Octopussy. The result of the union of youth and experience is a frankly Siberian boat. VanDutch 40designed for pleasure and good weather. This explains the maximum open cockpit, which is so disposed to sweet idleness.

The cockpit is the first thing to look at, but a truly carefree and comfortable rest is guaranteed by the reliability of the entire structure and the convenience of the location of the equipment. Mulder has taken great care to ensure that all of the boat's open space is as free as possible from any unnecessary technical details, all of which are hidden as far as possible and do not disturb the boat's finely crafted design.

Nordially laconic and the cabin. The main item of her interior is a V-shaped sofa that folds out into a double bed.

Poly-fiber provides the body with lightness and Kevlar with durability. The seat upholstery is pleasant to look at and feel, moreover, it is not afraid of almost anything: neither ultraviolet radiation, nor the harshest inclement weather, which is certainly important for an open boat.

From a distance, it seems that VanDutch 40 from nose to stern tick. It is actually a synthetic coating that successfully imitates a rare tree, but is incomparably easier to care for. On top of that, this material comes in many shades of varying degrees of brightness and saturation.

У VanDutch 40 has its own style and character. With a straight but expanding and rounded bow to the bottom, the boat moves decisively and steadily. The ribs leading from bow to stern along the sides stabilize the boat and soften the wave, reducing splashes.

We have tested two types of engines. The minimum power is the diesel Yanmar 2 x 260 hp. With it. VanDutch 40 passes through the waves as a whole gently. The boat does not move too fast or too sluggish, remains parallel to the water surface. With Yanmar 2 x 480 hp and extra weight at the stern VanDutch 40 immediately pulls the nose, pushes the water out, and a third of the body is on a hover cushion. In 14 seconds, it accelerates to 30 knots. The yard has set a speed record of 40 knots with a perfectly calm sea and a perfectly clean hull. During our tests, the sea was a bit rough (about 3 to 4 points) and the speed reached 38 knots, even though the submarine needed to be cleaned!

With an optimal 30 knots cruising mode, the range is 200 miles. This is quite enough for this type of boat, as they are most often seen cruising along the coast or moored in trendy coves like Pamplona. However, the crossing from St. Tropez to Corsica VanDutch 40 It's quite osilite.
