Frans Heesen has something to be proud of. The shipyard he founded a quarter of a century ago, to which he gave his name, is buzzing like an ant-hill. Now, at a difficult time for yachtbuilders, in the order book. Heesen - 13 spectacular projects, and the delivery of new yachts is scheduled until 2015. Above the yachts with the letter "H" on board it is considered an honor to work with the best design bureaus in the world, and most projects immediately become classics.

My Secret is one of them. This is the ninth Heesen yacht 47 meters long, the fruit of collaboration between the shipyard and the most famous names in the yachting industry. The appearance of her steel hull was designed by Omega Architects, Heesen's longstanding partner in the most successful projects, while the interiors were designed by the legendary Bannenberg & Rowell studio. They are the ones who own the idea of decorating the premises of a yacht in the Californian style, reminiscent of the 40s and 50s.

Actually, the working name of the project was «California» - a word associated with freedom and informality, associated with yachting emotions and yet free from the oddly stuffed sea cliches. The theme for the main salon and the owner's suite was Hollywood from the middle of the last century. The combination of light cream shades and darker accents creates a friendly and cozy atmosphere that is both luxurious and practical. The salon consists of a living area with sofas and elegant armchairs and a dining area dominated by a massive oval table under a separate chandelier. The backdrop for all this splendour is the marble wall at the rear with built-in candlesticks - one of the most impressive design elements on board. In all areas of the yacht the furniture and wall panels are made of three types of wood - white ash and wenge in light and dark shades. Perfectly fitted inserts form complex three-colour patterns that flow from room to room.

The upper deck salon looks even brighter and more airy - lighter colours and textures combined with panoramic views from giant windows give the room a relaxed mood. The spirit of Californian Malibu breaks through here in the wavy patterns on the floor, in the motifs of the surfboards in the finishes and in the furniture style of the 50s.

Most of the main My Secret deck is dedicated to the owner's suite. They begin in the work area and move into a bedroom decorated in the spirit of classic Hollywood glamour from the Marilyn Monroe era. At the pinnacle of the now popular designer «shenanigans», a discreet elegance rules the ball: the room looks majestic, but without any unnecessary pathos. The common style of the yacht is also reflected in the adjoining bathroom, with «waves» on the marble floor and silhouettes of surfboards on walls and mirrors.

Outdoor dining is available in the open saloon on the upper deck, where all 12 guests can sit freely at the table. If the yacht is in port, aft to the berth, you will have to avoid curious looks at the bow - there is a table and a cozy U-shaped sofa. There are also sunbeds for sunbathing. Wherever you go aboard My Secret, nowhere will you be left feeling of negativity, relaxation and ... easy amazement before the care and attention to detail, with which every element of a large ship is made. Maybe this is the main secret of this wonderful yacht?
