It's autumn, which means it's time to prepare «the sled» for the next season. Below is a brief overview of the yacht shows that makes sense if you are thinking about buying a boat for next year.

Burevestnik International Boat Show

September 1-4

About the exhibition: Since last year, BIBS has been held twice a year, in spring and autumn. This time the serial number of the exhibition is the tenth, so the bot show celebrates its first serious anniversary. It has become a habit for many Moscow yachtsmen to come to a Saturday party in «Burik», share bikes from summer hikes and watch a traditional 15-minute salute.

What to see: Most of the exhibits here are part of the «Burevestnik» group's brands - Sunseeker, Fairline, Riva, Sea Ray, Chris Craft and a dozen other worthy niche shipyards specializing in motor yachts and boats from 6 to 60 meters. Of the sailing yachts there will be only «Emka». The boat, as at all Russian exhibitions, is not expected to be very much - only a few dozen, and most of them are not new. However, the selection gives quite a decent idea of all the boats available on our inland waterways «here and now».

Millionaire Boat Show

September 2-4

About the exhibition: project of the National Marine Industry Association, the autumn Moscow exhibition of yachts on water, this year is held jointly with the promoters «of the Millionaire»Fair. Therefore, the event is expected to be more secular than just «about boats». However, due to the fact that the yacht club has recently opened a restaurant called» Arkady Novikova, «which has not yet had time to get bored, the degree of interest of MBS should be such that it is impossible to miss this event.

What to see: The Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing boats, as well as the Atlantis, Linssen, Cobalt, Absolute, Elegance and others joined them - about 50 boats in total in sizes from 10 to 31 meters. All yachts are motor boats. Pioneer Yachts and the Yaroslavl shipyard «Finsudprom»will pay tribute to the domestic shipbuilding.

Festival de la Plaisance Cannes

September 6-11

About the exhibition: The traditional dates of the Cannes Boat Show, which is now in its 34th edition, have shifted slightly this year due to the G20 Summit scheduled for October. However, the show is so tightly integrated into the yachting industry that it is unlikely to have any serious impact on attendance or level of exposure. The exhibition, as well as the film festival held in the same city, is famous for its rich evening program. It climaxes every year with a parade of megayachts dedicated to the World Yachts Trophies Awards. It is not in vain that the name of the exhibition can literally be translated as «Cannes»Pleasure Festival.

What to see: demanded models of all leading world shipyards, both sailing and motor - only more than 500 boats on water in the most popular segment of «21 plus or minus 7 meters». The second year will see a special section of multihulls with catamarans and trimarans. In general, if you are looking for a boat of "Mediterranean format" for use there, you must go to Cannes.

PSP Southhampton Boat Show

September 16-25

About the exhibition: the leading British boat show is a good demonstration of the national approach to yacht building. There may not be as much shine as there is on the Côte d'Azur or in Italy, but there is solidity, seaworthiness, reliability and practicality. Once again, London's permanent residents, who include many of our readers, are the easiest to get here.

What to see: The most complete ranges of Princess, Sunseeker, Fairline, Pearl, Sealine for motor yacht enthusiasts, Oyster, Island Packet and Discovery Yachts for sailing fans. There are over 350 boats in total, of which 80 are presented for the first time.

Monaco Yacht Show

September 21-24

About the exhibition: in the Principality of Monaco, the September Yacht Show is the second most important event of the year after the Grand Prix. It says a lot. MYS is the only exhibition in the world that exclusively focuses on large boats from 30 metres and above. In the central harbour of the Principality, Porto Hercule, there are over 500 boats.

What to see: every boat here is unique. This year it makes sense to see the 56m Perini Navi Fidelis, the 70m Numptia from Rossi Navi, the 55m Heesen Quinta Essentia and the 59m Amels Imagine. It is also worth visiting the tender corner and the Designer Gallery to see the latest industry tenders. Be sure to stay until the last day to hear a powerful 15-minute symphony from the yacht sounds at the closing of the exhibition.

Salone Nautico Internazionale, Genoa

October 1-9

About the exhibition: one of the main, most important for the industry and the largest yacht shows in Europe, where the Mediterranean dominance of Italian shipbuilding is balanced by a collection of salt from the best yachts and yachting equipment from all over the world.

What to see: exposition of 2000 boats, of which 450 are on water, and more than 400 are new models, which are presented for the first time. Azimut, Ferretti, Pershing, Riva, Itama, CRN, Benetti - these names sound with music for true yacht enthusiasts. You can see all these ranges and touch them with your own hands in Genoa.

Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

27-31 October

About the exhibition: The small town of Fort Lauderdale in Florida is called «American Venice» - the city is permeated by a dense network of waterways and canals, and a boat as a means of transportation here is more or equal to a car. It's no coincidence that for more than 50 years, the Fort Lauderdale has hosted a yacht show, an absolute world record holder in terms of number (over 3,000), size (20 to 200 feet), and boats on display. The exhibition is organized with a real state scale and is a kind of Wal-Mart of boats and boat accessories of all colors, calibers and types, with a total value of more than $3 billion, scattered across several marinas and sites on land.

What to see: The North American yachting industry, despite all the crises, is still very strong and toothed. In terms of price/quality ratio, many Yankee boats simply have no competitors. It makes sense to come here to hunt for bargains: the show, in fact, closes the autumn parade of the boat show, and shipyards with dealers will be ready to make offers of the series «now or never».
