Designer description Sydac

Brand History

The Genoese bureau Sydac Yacht Design was founded by Falletta Calogero in 1995. Thanks to a comprehensive approach, high quality services and a strong team, the studio quickly became popular in the marine segment, especially among fans of large boats.

Philosophy

The team sees its main task as finding a compromise among the conflicting wishes of the client regarding the characteristics of the yacht: speed, seaworthiness, maneuverability, safety, comfort, etc.

Specialty

Sydac Yacht Design creates exteriors and interiors, and pays particular attention to design and naval architecture. The company's arsenal includes both classical pool simulation and testing as well as modern computer methods for calculating performance parameters.

Cooperation with shipyards

The studio mainly works with Italian shipbuilders and designs semi-custom superyachts to a greater extent. Sydac's portfolio includes boats from Mondomarine, Wider, Admiral, Cerri Cantieri Navali and other companies.

Landmark projects

The team developed the hull for the motor superyacht Wider 165, which stands out for its performance. The boat is able to cover up to 5,400 nautical miles in one tank. The studio also owns the naval architecture for the Explorer Tribu and the faster Princess Iolanthe and Sierra Romeo.

The team .

Falletta Calogero has brought together many talented people. He is assisted in managing the studio by exterior designer Simone Dapino and interior specialist Sergio Bonvini.
