The history of the brand

Rhoades Young Design came into being in 2001 when Dick Young decided to found his own company after he had reached the age of creative director at Andrew Winch Designs, a renowned yacht design bureau. His partner was the outstanding architect Jonathan Rhoades, who had worked with sharks from the design world such as CZWG Architects, Thomas Eriksson Architects and Ken Freivokh.

Philosophy

Tandem Young and Rhodes is developing a unique design based on years of experience and desire to create truly luxurious superyachts designed to become classics of the future.

Speciality .

Rhoades Young Design designs the exteriors and interiors of boats, including the design of communication systems and space planning. The studio's portfolio includes a variety of projects ranging from 20 metre motor yachts to 70 metre classic sailing boats.

Cooperation with shipyards

The studio's partners in different years were such shipyards as Royal Huisman, Vitters Shipyard, Holland Jachtbouw, Baltic Yachts and others.

Landmark projects

The 66-metre superyacht Baltic Yachts Hetarios has been awarded the ShowBoats Design Award for unique interiors designed by Rhoades Young Design. The team was able to design the interior of the boat in a classic style using ultra lightweight modern materials.

In addition to Young and Rhodes, the Limington office in the UK also employs designer Chris Buhagiar, decorator Marina Young and commercial director Toby Collins, who allows others to create without thinking about the paperwork.
