Brand History

A third generation of engineers and yachtsmen from Long Island, Bill Tripp III, has been passionate about sailing since childhood. The first miles were spent on yachts designed by his father. After the University of Michigan, Bill interned with Doug Peterson. This was followed by work at Baltic Yachts, and in 1984 Tripp opened his studio with offices in the USA and the Netherlands. The first success came with motor yachts, while Tripp Design became famous in the sailing world in the 90's with Tripp 40, 41 and Baltic50 models.

The first major project in 1992 was Cinderella II. In 1997, the composite expedition Shaman with a lifting keel made a lot of noise. The real pass to the big leagues was aluminium... Alithiawho won the Show Boat Award in 2003. A successful collaboration with Wally Yachts followed. Ratified photos Esenseи Saudade have brought Tripp Design world fame.

Specialty

The Tripp Design portfolio includes, in addition to unique projects, serial models of sailing yachts. Among the motor yachts there is also a great variety: from tenders to 20-meter fishing boats.

Cooperation with shipyards

Cooperation with the American HinckleyBill got it from his dad. To this Bill Tripp added German YYachts, for which semi-custom maxi yachts have been designed. In his resume he has worked with dozens of shipyards and designers including Winch Design, Nautor's Swan, Derecktor, Abeking & Rasmussen, Holland Yachtbow, Baltic, Goetz, Vitters.

Landmark projects

Prominent projects include Mystere by Vitters (World Superyacht Awards 2007), Black Pearl by Baltic Yachts (Best Naval Architecture 2012) and the grandiose Mystere by Vitters (World Superyacht Awards 2007).Aquijo (Best Naval Architecture 2017), the world's largest cache.

Team

The backbone of the Tripp Design team includes designer Nate Yeater, manager Krista Stanley and Kevin Dailey, who is responsible for the brokerage.
