Designer description Eidsgaard Design
The history of the brand
Since childhood Peder Eidsgaard dreamed of becoming a yacht designer and confidently moved towards the goal. After graduating from university in Switzerland, the young man was accepted to Andrew Winch Designs. In 2005 Eidsgaard set up his own studio and was helped by his wife Eva. Eidsgaard Design was also joined by Ben Harrison, who worked with Eidsgaard at Andrew Winch. Thanks to the talent and passion of the three founders, the company has achieved worldwide fame in superyacht design.
At Eidsgaard Design, first and foremost, we try to create a homely atmosphere so that the client can enjoy a pleasant and comfortable time on his boat. Perhaps this is why the studio's projects are a great success.
In the studio's portfolio you can find not only interior and exterior design of superyachts, but also exclusive tenders. The company is also known for the design of aircraft and residential real estate.
Cooperation with shipyards
In less than 15 years, Eidsgaard Design has established relationships with many renowned shipbuilders. The studio has participated in joint projects with Wally, Feadship, Heesen, Lurssen, Benetti, Blohm + Voss and others.
Superyachts with company design have been in the spotlight many times. The 45.19 metre Wally Saudade was also the debut project in the large boat segment. At that time she was the flagship of the shipyard and for many years was distinguished by impressive results at the regattas.
The studio employs no more than 10 people, including three directors - the wife of Idsgard and Ben Harrison. Peder and Ben mainly deal with boat exteriors and technical moments, while Eva concentrates on the interior.
