Journey to Zavidovo runs along the Ivankovskoye reservoir, the largest reservoir in the Moscow region. It is not for nothing called the Moscow Sea. From here comes the canal named after Moscow. The reservoir is located within the Moscow and Tver regions, in the upper reaches of the Volga River. Zavidovo is a protected natural area of federal importance with the status of a national park, belongs to the objects of national heritage. The reserve is rich in various species and breeds of animals: there are up to 41 mammal species in the park, including weasel, ermine, brown bear, lynx, fox, wild boar, elk, lynx, wood grouse, duck and others. According to UNESCO estimates, Zavidovo is one of the cleanest places on Earth in terms of ecology. Here you can fully appreciate the beauty of Russian nature, breathe clean air, listen to the song of birch groves, see wild animals or explore the numerous islands formed in the reservoir water area.
