Sanlorenzo expands its range with three models

This summer will be really hot for the Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo and its admirers, as the company prepares to sea-test the first three new models at once: The SX112 34m Crosover, the 44.5m aluminium superyacht 44Alloy and the 61.5m steel 62Steel.

SX112

The SX112 will be the new flagship of a line of hybrids for flybridge and expedition yachts, which was launched in 2017. SX112 is the third yacht in this range.

As with the SX76 and SX88, the boat was designed by Bernardo Zuccon, head of one of the most influential design studios in the world, and Piero Lissoni, art director of Sanlorenzo. The first was responsible for the exterior and the second for the interiors, and naval architect Luca Santella, whose Bluegame shipyard has been part of Sanlorenzo since 2018, was also involved in the SX range.

Zuccon has focused on making the SX112 a truly family boat. Her exterior was inspired by the streamlined shape of large marine mammals. Lissoni, however, provided a continuous «dialogue» between the interior and exterior spaces of the boat.

One way to achieve a harmonious blend of interior and exterior spaces is to make the main deck one big ocean-going deck with a combined living and dining area. This is the first time such a solution has been applied to the SX88, and the SX112 follows the «tradition» of its model range in this sense. The control area has been moved to the flybridge, so nothing is obstructing the forward main deck area. The SX112 has a maximum width of 8 meters.

Flybridge, main and lower decks are joined by a spiral staircase. On the main deck, she is enclosed in an oval glass well, reminiscent of the jewel displayed in the centre of the room. This makes it possible to visually lighten the staircase and to hang it in the air.

In general, the stylistics of the interiors can be characterized as a «combination of Japanese laconicism and Italian elegance». Living comfort has become a priority, which is the basis of the entire design of SX112.

Special attention was paid to the design of the new aft area of the yacht. The main feature of the closed beach club SX112 is folding sides. The terraces not only expand the area where you can enjoy the sun, but also open up additional routes where guests can move between the indoor and outdoor half of the beach club.

In the engine room of SX112 there are four IPS3 1350S engines with 1000 hp each. The maximum fuel reserve on board is 18,000 litres. It is expected that the SX112 will be able to reach speeds of 23-24 knots. Cruise speed is expected to be about 20 knots. In economy mode the yacht will be able to cruise at 12 knots.

44Alloy

If the coronavirus does not prevent it, the 44Alloy should make its debut at the Cannes show in September 2020.

44Alloy: A conceptual rethinking of 40Alloy. The exterior design of this new all-aluminium superyacht with fast displacement hull was developed by Bernardo Zuccon. The interiors were designed by Martin Dzuccon, Michele Bonan and the French studio Liaigre.

One of the main features of the 44Alloy will be a three-level owner's apartment of 145 m².

It will include both indoor and outdoor areas. This is an absolutely unique solution for a 44 metre boat. Before Sanlorenzo no one has ever done this.

Compete with the master suite for the attention of guests will be the stern of the boat with a spacious, open on three sides beach club.

Up to 10 guests can relax on the 44Alloy. The boat will be served by a crew of 9 people.

Owners can choose between a pair of MTU M 12 V 2000 M96L or MTU 16 V 2000 M96L engines. In the first case, the yacht will accelerate up to 20 knots, in the second - up to 22 knots. The model's fuel tank holds 41,000 liters of fuel.

The shipyard is simultaneously building 5 hulls of 44Alloy. All of them have already been sold.

62Steel

The premiere of the 62Steel in Sanlorenzo was expected to take place at the Monaco show, if it does take place.

The company describes this boat as «setting new standards in the steel superyacht»segment. The basis for this is the owner's apartment of 210 m². Of this, only 97 m² are indoors (bedroom, two spacious baths and dressing room). The rest of the space is occupied by the forward and upper open decks, to which the 62Steel owner has exclusive access.

Guests will be able to spend time in the 90m living and dining room on the main deck. The dining table, installed here, can accommodate 16 people (while the number of beds on board is 12).

There is a swimming pool aft of the main deck. If desired, it can be closed with a retractable roof and an 8 m² sunbed.

The beach club, lounge area, bar, fitness area and hammam on the lower deck together occupy 92 m². This space can be extended by a further 40 m² by side hinged terraces at the stern and on boards.

The 62Steel will be served by a crew of 14 people.

Disperses the 61.5-meter super yacht 2 62Steel engines. The maximum speed this model can develop is limited to 16.5 knots. The fuel reserve is 130,000 litres.

Three hulls of the 62Steel were simultaneously built at the yard. The first of them has already been launched in May 2020, and two others will be ready by April 2021 and 2022.
