For the first time the Italian shipyard Ferretti presented the 30.5-metre Ferretti Yachts 1000 as a concept at the Boot Dusseldorf exhibition in January 2020, and today the details of the project, which will be the largest in the brand's history, have finally been announced.
The Ferretti Group's Product Strategy Committee, headed by engineer Piero Ferrari, has joined forces with the design and technology department to create the yacht. So the hydrodynamic performance of the model is entirely thanks to the Ferretti in-house specialists. Filippo Salvetti was responsible for the exterior design, while Ideaeitalia commissioned the interior design.
Ferretti Yachts 1000 is the first model of a shipyard with a wide hull and a completely carbonized superstructure.
At the same time, on the outside it shares the same features with other recent Ferretti models. The onboard glazing of the superstructure at the stern and center will add to the boat's throwiness. An important role is given to the teak, which will be found not only in the stern beach club area, but also in the side aisles, the stairs leading to the flybridge and the outdoor control post.
«At the heart of the project is the idea of unrivalled comfort and well-being both outdoors and indoors," says»the shipyard.
The reorganization of the stern space has made it possible to increase the living space in this area to 40 m² - in this Ferretti Yachts 1000 is as good as the superyachts. The bathing platform is directly connected to the cockpit by a pair of ladders on both sides - and when the platform is lowered, several more steps are automatically extended to extend the ladders into the cockpit and make entering and exiting the water as comfortable as possible. Ferretti has even patented this design of the bathing platform.
Independent garage access, spacious enough to accommodate a Williams Sportjet 445 tender, two Seabob submarine scooters and a jet ski, opens to starboard the yacht.
In the cockpit, a transformer table surrounded by two sofas is transformed from a coffee table to a full dining table and back. A free-standing furniture can be added to the cockpit and the aft deck area allows this. The partition enclosing the cockpit from the aft is all-glass, so nothing prevents guests from enjoying the views without getting up from the sofas.
The spacious flybridge can be accessed from the cockpit by two flights of stairs on both sides, and from the flybridge - also from both sides - straight to the private forward deck. In general, there are at least two ways to get into all the main guest areas, with glass doors on the starboard and starboard main deck leading to the saloon. From there, via an elevated control station, you can climb to the flybridge and fore deck, which is the way the crew will use to service the guest areas.
This logistic solution allows for the separation of human flows. Given that the generous living areas of the yacht can accommodate 10 guests and 5 crew, this is more than relevant.
Inside, guests will find a spacious lounge area with sea views on the main deck (if desired, the giant floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows can also be made open) and a huge (as much as 10 square meters) multifunctional galley with retractable partition that allows the bar to be combined with the dining area.
The Owner's suite is on the main deck, while the other four equally sized guest double cabins are on the lower deck. One of the main advantages of the Owner's stateroom on the Ferretti Yachts 1000 will be a spacious bathroom finished in superb marble and wood and occupying all the available space from one side to the other.
Buyers of Ferretti Yachts 1000 will have a choice of two interior designs using several types of wood and marble. The interior of the boat can be decorated either in classical style (soft combinations and pastel colors) or in modern style (bright, urban, accentuated Italian interiors). In both cases, the design is based on the concept«just like at home.
The Ferretti Yachts 1000 will be powered by a pair of MTU 16V 2000 M86 engines with an output of 2638 hp. The yacht will accelerate to 28 knots and the cruising speed is preliminary estimated at 24 knots. At the owner's request, a gyroscopic stabilization system can be installed on board.
