Category Description

The bow cabin boat (cuddy) is one of their most popular pleasure boats up to 30 feet long. They feature a compact forward cabin for two people. Due to its small size and low ceiling, it cannot normally be used as a salon, but a small marine toilet can be installed at the base of the bunk. At 25-30 feet, a separate latrine can sometimes be installed. Often the cabin takes over the functions of a spacious pantry, where it is convenient to store provisions and equipment for entertainment on the water.

The minus of cuddy boats is that the cabin "eats" a considerable part of deck space, and, unlike bowriders, there are not so many seats aboard. By other parameters cabin boats are similar to other sports boats: they are constructed on the basis of gliding fiberglass hulls with low or medium angle of keelworthiness and equipped with outboard or stationary engines (more often gasoline).

Besides quiet rest in a small company, these rather universal boats can be used as tugboats and for amateur fishing.
