Designer description J.G. Vergés Design

The history of the brand

The name Jean Guy Vergès is widely known in the superyacht industry. He started his career in the industry by working on boats for the Turkish shipyard Proteksan in 1988. The result is a series of 26-meter boats with interiors so successful that he was offered a chief designer's chair at Oceanco, and in 2002 Guy Vergés sailed independently and opened J.G. Vergés Design.

Philosophy

The team's work focuses on natural light and open areas. The company's designers also try to avoid colors that are too bright or dark (as the main palette), which «absorb» spaces.

Specialty

The company mostly creates interiors and exteriors for superyachts. At the same time, J.G. Vergés Design has repeatedly noted its real estate projects. The team also designs furniture and decoration elements.

Cooperation with shipyards

J.G. Vergés is equally good at sailing and motor superyacht projects. The firm has worked with Turquoise Yachts (formerly Proteksan), Su Marine, Nautor's Swan, Oceanco and others in its history.

Landmark projects

Jean Guy Verger was commissioned by Baron Irvine Laidlaw to work on the exterior and interior of the 56m Lady Christine. The master also took part in the Dona Amelia refit, which was launched in 1929.
