In 1999, Chang Yung-Fa, who now owns an impressive fleet of several container ships, ordered himself a yacht from the Japanese shipyard Hayashikane Zosen. He wanted the yacht to reach speeds in excess of 20 knots. He got his wish: equipped with twin 6,600 horsepower engines, she will cruise at 22.5 knots and can travel 6,500 miles at cruising speed without refueling. Evergreen was then purchased by American industrialist Dennis Washington, named Attessa IV and underwent a major rebuild.
