The first round of the RC44 Championship Tour 2015 series has come to an end. Valletta Cup regatta, held in Malta, brought success to Russian teams.
In the fleet racing Team Nika, with the legendary Dean Barker making his debut, climbed to second place, behind only Charisma team, while Bronenosec Sailing Team took the third position. Katusha crew, also Russian flagged, is in sixth place, RUS7 in eighth.
The Russian teams also showed good results in the match race: «Battleship» became the leader, while the second place went to «Nika».
A total of 12 teams from around the world took part in the «Valletta Cup»: Switzerland, Great Britain, Poland, Slovenia, Monaco, Russia.
The next round of the championship will be held in Porto Cervo from 17th to 21st of June.
