British company Glider Yachts has announced that it has almost fully funded its first yacht, which has already gone into production. Private investors contributed to the construction of the unusual vessel.
It is a project of a catamaran called Super Sports 18 (SS18). The craft has a unique look with the main deck significantly elevated above the water surface and resting on two elongated hulls. She is capable of speeds of up to 60 knots. This will be the first delivery of a revolutionary Glider Yachts fleet.
SS18 is expected to be unveiled during the Monaco Boat Show this September, but it is not specified at what stage of readiness the project will be.
