The gold of the European Championship in the Olympic class «Finn» among juniors went to Russia's Arkady Kistanov. The young man managed to finish in the medal race with a result that allowed him to become the first among juniors and the fifth in the overall medal standings. We remind that Arkady Kistanov has already won the World Junior Championship and took the third place at the World Championship.
Another Russian, Egor Terpigorev, who also got into the medal race after five days of the qualification races, took the sixth place in the overall standings.
Altogether 70 athletes from 24 countries took part in the races in Split, Croatia. Apart from European countries, the European Championship was attended by yachtsmen from New Zealand, Australia, Uruguay, Argentina, Tunisia, USA. The winner of the competition in «Finn class» was Croatian Ivan Kljakovic-Gaspic.
