1,5 billion rubles will be allocated for yacht cluster construction in St.Petersburg

About 1.5 billion rubles will be appropriated from the federal budget for yacht and tourist cluster construction in St. Petersburg. The regional mass media report about it with reference to the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Rimma Sachunova.

The city's application for financing construction of the tourist and recreational cluster infrastructure has been approved by the Federal Agency for Tourism, which will allocate the above mentioned sum, she said. Money will be spent on shore protection, road construction and connection to power networks.

Previously, about six billion rubles of private money and about 450 million rubles, received from the city budget, have already been invested in the construction of the facility.

Let us explain that we are talking about a yacht-club project on Krestovsky Island. However, not only yacht-club, but also a number of related structures will be built within the project: sports club for judoists, hotel for yachtsmen, marina. Among the owners of the future cluster are Arkady Rotenberg and Vladimir Potanin. Tentatively, the facility will be commissioned in 2016.
