The Cannes Film Festival is not just showing cinematic innovations: Laboratorio del Mare is presenting its first motorboat in the sunny city.
Demonstration of the Dipiu will be held daily throughout the whole duration of the film festival (which ends on May 24th) on Baoli beach from 12:00 to 19:15. During this time you can not only admire the boat but also take a ride on it.
Dipiu is a new project inspired by sports cars with an unusual design. The yacht is made of carbon pre-pregs and is 9.6m long and 2.2m wide, capable of speeds of up to 100 knots (the exact speed will depend on the types of engines installed).
The creators of the boat, Laboratorio del Mare, are based in Lavagna and plan to produce up to six Dipiu hulls a year. Read more about the boat in our article.
